IN THE YEAR OF TWENTY-ONE
After more than thirty years in Berlin, Eriksson returned to Stockholm. The two artists continued their long-standing collaboration, now working at a distance. During the pandemic in 2021, Killisch sent sound pieces from Berlin to Stockholm. Eriksson responded with short video sequences filmed in and around the city, combining sound and moving image into eight audiovisual works.
PAINTIN´& PLAYIN´#2
is a 25-minute sound and video installation for three screens, conceived by Mikael Eriksson and first presented at Weltecho, Chemnitz, in 2019.

THE CHAIR
is based on Mikael Eriksson’s play of the same title. Set in a U.S. state prison in 1972, it follows Bill and Peggy-Sue as they wait for their drummer in a prison storage room. Bill plays bass and works as a prison guard; Peggy-Sue, his girlfriend, plays guitar.
Matthias Elsmann
At the centre of the film is Matthias Elsmann. What began as a search for a supposed origin in East Berlin developed into a multilayered short film about memory, identity and the period of upheaval in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
